The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has a free hunter safety course from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday May 11 at the Markham Park Target Range at 16001 W. State Road 84 in Sunrise. Participants must successfully complete the online portion of the course prior to attending and bring their final online report. At the park, students will learn about hunting laws, safe gun handling and hunter ethics/responsibility, among other topics, before taking the final test.
