Low humidity sticking around for another day, so while it will be hot for Tuesday, at least there will be a breeze and not too sticky. Look for high temps around 93 degrees, and the winds will be from the east/northeast at around 5-15mph. Partly cloudy skies are expected and there is only an isolated sprinkle possible too.
Wednesday we will split the 10 News viewing area for expected chances at rainfall. South of the Tampa metro will see the better chance at showers/storms. Manatee, Sarasota, Highlands, Hardee, DeSoto counties will expect around a 50% coverage of rain, while everybody else should expect only a 30% coverage.
Quiet and dry weather will continue into Saturday morning with mostly clear skies and mild temps. A much drier airmass with dewpoints in the 50's in the wake of a cool front will advect into the region for the upcoming holiday weekend.
It is hot this afternoon with temperatures in the 90s. Look for several days of dry skies. An isolated shower is possible from Arcadia to Sebring after 2 pm.
A cool front moves by this evening and will drop overnight temps into the 60s Saturday night. It brings in dry air and a east breeze Saturday.
Pleasant weather can be expected through Memorial Day with highs in the upper 80s Monday and less breeze.
Isolated showers return Wednesday.
Several factors will hold back rain today resulting in drier weather today. Moisture has decreased and the air is more stable and these factors will reduce any rain chances over St. Pete and Tampa.
An isolated storm may develop along Highway 27 this after 3 pm but rain chances are only 20%. The humidity will be sticky until a weak front moves by Friday evening. This makes for more comfortable levels over the weekend and dry weather lasts through Memorial Day.
Slow moving inland storms are dumping heavy rain this afternoon and localized flooding is possible. Some of the heaviest rain has been over Haines City today and along I-75. Much of the rain will move back to the beach through sunset.
Some storms have been severe due to hail. There is not much push to the cells and it may be an hours worth of rain if you are caught by a downpour.
It will feel like summer in May today. Do't look for much rain to cool you off however. A few inland storms could pop up after 2 pm around Plant City, Winter Haven or Seabring, however not much is expected in Tampa. The beaches will be clear as the sea breeze rushes inland.
Highs will top out at 90 but coastal spots will reach the mid 80s.
We are expecting a hot weekend with high's in the upper 80's and just a slight chance of rain Saturday. A bit more moisture will make it feel more humid over the next few days and this will help spawn a couple storms east of I-75 Saturday and Sunday. By Sunday and Monday the late day storms may move back to the coast.
Storms will become more like clockwork next week with temps continuing in the mid to upper 80's.
The heat and humidity continue to increase slightly.
