Several factors will hold back rain today resulting in drier weather today. Moisture has decreased and the air is more stable and these factors will reduce any rain chances over St. Pete and Tampa.
An isolated storm may develop along Highway 27 this after 3 pm but rain chances are only 20%. The humidity will be sticky until a weak front moves by Friday evening. This makes for more comfortable levels over the weekend and dry weather lasts through Memorial Day.

The mid to late day storms will return once again today as highs make the mid 80s. The rain chances will begin to decrease tomorrow and then dry up altogether as we go through Memorial Day Weekend! It will be hot this weekend with highs near 90.

Slow moving inland storms are dumping heavy rain this afternoon and localized flooding is possible. Some of the heaviest rain has been over Haines City today and along I-75. Much of the rain will move back to the beach through sunset.
Some storms have been severe due to hail. There is not much push to the cells and it may be an hours worth of rain if you are caught by a downpour.

Once again on Tuesday afternoon, storms will be likely across the region, mainly after 2 p.m. Drier air will start to work in Wednesday through Friday with a 20 - 30 percent chance of rain. Temperatures will remain warm with highs in the upper 80's under partly sunny skies.

It will feel like summer in May today. Do't look for much rain to cool you off however. A few inland storms could pop up after 2 pm around Plant City, Winter Haven or Seabring, however not much is expected in Tampa. The beaches will be clear as the sea breeze rushes inland.
Highs will top out at 90 but coastal spots will reach the mid 80s.

We are expecting a hot weekend with high's in the upper 80's and just a slight chance of rain Saturday. A bit more moisture will make it feel more humid over the next few days and this will help spawn a couple storms east of I-75 Saturday and Sunday. By Sunday and Monday the late day storms may move back to the coast.
Storms will become more like clockwork next week with temps continuing in the mid to upper 80's.

The humidity has made a comeback and temperatures stay warm the next several days. Highs will be in the upper 80's and it will feel like summer but without the steady afternoon storms. Over the weekend we could begin to see a few afternoon storms especially by Sunday. Until then we will bake with warm and humid weather.
