A single engine 2006 PILATUS AIRCRAFT LTD PC-12/47 Crashed outside of lake wales about 12:40 PM Thursday as it was en-route from the Bahamas to Kansas.

the plane bearing tail number #N950KA went down in the area of Walk in Water Road and Jewell Lane.

Reports of 6 fatalities and no survivors are coming in. This is a remote area of Polk county and crews are reaching the scene on ATVs and also being flown in. More information will be available soon on the Floriblog News Feeds.

UPDATE:

Two adults and four children were killed when their plane crashed in Florida Thursday.  The plane was headed to Junction City Kansas.

The aircraft was registered to Roadside Ventures, LLC in Junction City.The dead include the company owner Ron Bramlage, his wife Becky, and their four children–the oldest a high school freshman–were all on board at the time of the crash.

The plane crashed in the Tiger Creek Swamp  area of Polk County Florida.

According to the Miami Herald a naked man decided to go to an exit ramp an eat another guys face. ( and no I can not even try to make this stuff up) This unique appetite was observed by a person who thought this was a little off kilter and decided to ask the police what they thought of this. The police seemed to think this act ranked highly on the overall “this shit is weird” scale. Giving it s six bullet rating to be exact.

After asking the hungry individual to refrain from his “lunch” the officer decided it was in the meals best interest that he empty a clip into the hungry guy. This is truly amazing to me and this all took place within view of the Miami heralds security cameras.

Jacksonville Florida. (Floriblog) A Duval county judge has sentenced Marissa Alexander to 20 years in prison for firing a warning shot after her ex-husband threatened to kill her.

At the time, Alexander had already taken out a protective order against her ex-husband earlier that year when he was arrested for physically abusing her.

A fight started in the couples bedroom, and Marissa Alexander decided to stand her ground and retrieved a gun. She then fired a single warning shot into the couples kitchen ceiling.

Alexander was arrested and subsequently charged and convicted on three counts of aggravated assault after firing a warning shot at her ex-husband inside their home in August 2010.

Alexanders attorney, Kevin Cobbin, wanted a new trial based on Florida’s Stand Your Ground law and said that it should have applied in this case.

Judge Daniel denied the motion and imposed the mandatory sentence.

After the hearing, Cobbin said the Stand Your Ground law is not always applied fairly.

“The law was made for people like Ms. Alexander. They did not make it for people running around on the streets shooting people. They made it for women in their homes trying to defended themselves against abusive, mean men,” said Cobbin.

Apparently a jury felt she committed a domestic battery on him by leaving the main portion of the house (to the garage) and returning.

Alexander was offered a three year plea deal which she turned down.

Actually Mr President, I could not ever say for sure since I have not really tried that. It seems to me, that would need a very long cooking process and a lot of added flavor. But to each his own.

I searched cook-this and could not find a good recipe for how to make that. Perhaps you could share yours.

Personally I like my dogs to be corn-dogs or smothered in chili and cheese. Actual dogs are not something I have tried, I can not wrap my head around that. I can only imaging the taste.

That takes me back to a conversation I had with a guy about twenty years ago who was relaying a story about his squirrel hunting brother. He asked what a squirrel tastes like. His brother pondered the question for a moment and gave the smart ass reply one would never expect. Kind of like a cat!

With so many people and such weirdness in the sunshine state I thought it a good Idea to replace the state bird (Northern Mockingbird) with My choice. The News Chopper.

First of all, no disrespect to the freaking dumb ass selection of the Northern Mocking Bird. (obviously some smoke or drink was involved in that decision)  But really WTF? with flamingos and cranes etc. Who the hell decided that?

I get news (it’s what I do) I love it when a major station sends “the bird” to get an overhead view. We all get a birds eye view of exactly what carnage was left. Kind of like an expensive buzzard awaiting the wolf to finish and leave.

With so many people creating newsworthy events In the land of warm days and uncovered butts, an airframe and power-plant FAA certified mechanic can only be loving life.

So right here and now I nominate the news helicopter as the official state bird. any objections?

That headline makes no difference in many minds. Why?  Many people don’t seem to care what the jury thinks. Regardless of the outcome some of you have already made up your mind.

Think about it. Were you following Casey Anthony? what did you think of the outcome? Do you disagree with it?  What about OJ Simpson? did you have a preconceived opinion?

In all reality George Zimmerman will never live a moment of his life without many having  the pre-concieved consideration that he was guilty.

Should he be found not guilty he will still live with the knowledge that many people will feel he was. That this world takes the view of Guilty by reason of charge will continue and while right or wrong People will always have those thoughts.

Hopefully those of you who have made up your mind will never find yourself in that predicament. If you ever do just remember what got you there.

This is getting pretty redundant. All the really High profile cases coming out of Florida. Not that I have a problem with it. After all being the Florida news tweet site we are, it does not suck….

Anyway Casey Anthony can only be breathing a sigh of Florida relief ever since the now famous George Zimmerman has taken the Florida’s most hated scumbag crown away from her.

We will be covering this story extensively till some other scumbag arrives on the Florida scene and totally is more popular than the current scum-bucket.
